Did you have a garden for your house? Or have you ever shocked at the one’s yard because of the luxuriant plants? As we can see, lawn and garden flowers are friendly to our environment. But how to care these plants may few people know. It's time to have a look at another lawn care tip, and this time its Wetting Agents! This wonderful new tool for use on lawns and garden is great news for lawn lovers everywhere, and vital to anyone else wanting a great looking lawn, so let’s start investigating.

No Foam Wetting Agents

A lot of soils around the world are hydrophobic, which means they repel water, and there are also a lot of other reason why some areas of lawn can become hydrophobic if only in some areas of the turf. The problem here is that water can't spread evenly throughout the soil, and in the places it does absorb it is quickly repelled usually downwards into the water table or even as run off ending up in drains. The soil just can't keep hold of the water, and in turn requires more water.

It's a waste of the water we're using as well as resulting in lawns of poor health either in sports or all over the turf. This is where No Foam Wetting Agents come to the rescue, they're a vital ingredient in looking after lawns so that why I've included them here as one of my lawn care tips.

When we apply wetting agents to our lawn or gardens, it acts just like a detergent does when washing dishes; it attaches itself to the greasy outer layer of soil and removes the greasy bits. With the greasy bits that repel the water gone, the water is now free to evenly distribute itself throughout the soil, and make itself available to the entire lawn, even better is that the soil holds onto the water for longer so we can water less often.

We can head on over to the local nursery or garden supply shop again and grab some Nonionic Surfactant Wetting Agents either in liquid form or granular form, they're real easy to apply, and it doesn't matter if too much goes down because it can't cause any damage to lawns at all. The granular form has the liquid wetting agent attached to tiny particles of cork, so if after watering your wetting agent in, and they still won't dissolve, it's because you're just looking at the cork remains, the wetting agent has been released and the cork will break down organically within a couple of weeks.

Well that's about it for this lawn care tip on Wetting Agents, remember to apply twice a year for maximum effect and benefit. Good Luck and Happy Lawns!
